Hockey Jersey from Rochester Institute of Technology

I taught at RIT (NY) for several years before moving to Texas. I went to RIT when its new campus in South Henrietta had barely been opened after a move from downtown. A local businessman and his wife were avid skaters and donated an ice rink to RIT. But there were many more sports, including hockey, baseball, lacrosse, basketball, etc.

I was the advisor for Triangle fraternity for a few years before leaving RIT. Triangle at one time was almost a baseball fraternity because so many players from the baseball team were in Triangle.

Founded in 1829, Rochester Institute of Technology is a privately endowed, coeducational university with nine colleges emphasizing career education and experiential learning. The campus occupies 1,300 acres in suburban Rochester, the third-largest city in New York state. RIT also has international campuses in Eastern Europe and Dubai. Its Fall 2013 total enrollment was 18,292.

RIT is an internationally recognized leader in preparing deaf and hard-of-hearing students for successful careers in professional and technical fields. The university provides unparalleled access and support services for the more than 1,200 deaf and hard-of-hearing students who live, study, and work with hearing students on the RIT campus.
